I started at Pentagon MMA on the Muay Thai 3 day a week track in October of 2024 with the intent on helping maintain fitness goals into the holidays and new year. While it has been nearly a decade for me since last attendng a martial arts gym, I instantly found myself welcomed and back in the flow again by the experienced and highly knowlegable staff and impressed by the excellently managed cleanliness and organization of this Gym. It truely has exceeded my expectations! Monday and Wednesday late afternoon and Saturday mornings you can usually find Coach Teddy Endale teaching a fantastic fighting fundamentals class that scales up with your fitness skill level. Tuesday and Thursdays afternoon/evening with Kru (master) Vivek Nakarmi and Coach Katrina Combs us the more advanced fundamentals and "feel the burn" classes. While the evening classes are usually full if your looking for a more relaxed and focused setting the 6am MWF and noon Tues/Thurs classes are usually an easy walk in. This Gym uses an app to schedule your classes and track attendance for testing and advancement. Classes go up for sign up the day of the week before hand *usually*. I reccomend signing up for the class at least 5 days out otherwise it may be too full. The instructors and students are very accommodating despite the small size. Pentagon Champions are winning belts and titles every year: Don't underestimate this Dynamite Dojo! š§Øš„š„š
Pre covid in 2019 I first joined Pentagon mma for BJJ and no gi and I was hooked. Although I left to Korea for work after a year every visit to the U.S I make sure to drop by and get a class in. The classes are structured well and organized. All the instructors are knowledgeable and make sure each student is getting it. The intensity of the bjj and no gi classes were just right. I got more into fitness just to keep up with the base. I honestly do miss the vibe of the gym while I'm in Korea. I've yet to find a gym in Korea that has members so passionate and such skilled instructors. If you're a beginner , their foundations classes is just right. If you have experience dive right into their no gi classes. I recommend it!
