Defensive Edge Martial Arts Academy

I started training at Defensive Edge 7 years ago, as a father of two in my 40s, after taking my daughter to a birthday party hosted there. I saw how the instructors made the challenge of learning martial arts fun and accessible while taking skill development and fitness seriously. Since that time my instructors, classmates and teammates have provided exactly the environment I needed to develop the skills I wanted while navigating demanding work/family commitments. At Defensive Edge you and your kids can train in a variety of the most effective martial arts and learn from instructors with technical skill, teaching skill and relevant competition experience within a team atmosphere that benefits every type of student. The decision to compete is purely your own, and not everyone does, but the supportive environment at Defensive Edge empowered me to do so in a short time. What I love most about my time at Defensive Edge is watching our experienced teammates welcome new members during their first sessions and ultimately watching those new students support those who come after them. Josh maintains a great team and is an effective teacher/leader.

I walked into Defensive edge around 7 years ago and haven't looked back. DE is very well kept, well equipped, and offers a variety of training options. The coaches are incredibly professional,highly skilled,and they truly care about your progress weather your a competitor or someone just starting out, even kids all ages! the kids classes are growing rapidly my kid is apart of the team as well. Another great thing about this gym is that it's very family friendly! When someone competes it's like everyone else signs up and goes together and it's really a great thing for a community.
